Herausgegeben von Reid Meloy und Jens Hoffmann erscheint im November bei Oxford University Press in New York das International Handbook of Threat Assessment. In diesem englischsprachigen Band präsentieren führende Fachleute aus Europa, den USA, Kanada und Australien den gegenwärtigen Stand des Wissens in der Disziplin des Bedrohungsmanagements. Aber auch neue, bisher nicht veröffentlichte Erkenntnisse und Konzepte werden hier vorgestellt.
Die 27 Kapitel sind dabei in in drei Bereiche unterteilt:
Der erste Bereich "Foundations" (Grundlagen) umfasst die Terminologie und praktische Anwendung von Bedrohungsmanagement und die Unterscheidung zu Forensic Risk Assessment, Psychologie und Einschätzung von Gewaltdrohungen, Warnverhalten sowie die rechtlichen Grundlagen des Bedrohungsmanagements.
Der zweite Bereich "Fields of Practise" (Praxisfelder) enthält Darstellungen der verschiedenen Anwendungsgebiete von Bedrohungsmanagement wie Workplace Violence (Gewalt am Arbeitsplatz), Angriffe auf Personen des öffentlichen Lebens, schwere Gewalt in Schulen und Universitäten, Ehrenmorde, häusliche Gewalt und Intimizid, anonyme Drohungen, Cyberdrohungen und Insider Threats.
Der dritte Bereich "Operations" (konkreter Einsatz) umfasst u.a. das britische Threat Assessment Centre in London, die LAPD (Los Angeles Police) Threat Management Unit, die australische Problemverhalten Klinik, Bedrohungsmanagement Teams in Universitäten in der Schweiz und in Deutschland sowie den Navy CIS Threat Management Service.
